Approach to care
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 15 years of counseling experience. My passion for nutrition was ignited as a young teenager with my first job being in a hospital food service. I was captivated by the dietitian's intellect and compassion. I later found myself running often, and I fine-tuned fueling before, during and after runs and races to enhance my strength and speed. This, by far, was the game-changer that allowed me to qualify for the Boston Marathon in 2016. I have Bachelor's and Master's degree in nutrition and dietetics, and I am board certified in Integrative and Functional Nutrition. My specialty includes working with clients who have gastrointestinal issues and those looking to improve mood and mental health with food, nutrition and lifestyle modifications.
Hobbies
I value and love spending time being active. Having ran and qualified for the Boston marathon, I love how fueling our body well and training intentionally can be transformational. These days my activity centers around walking and hiking with my two large dogs and attending classes at my local YMCA. I love reading and spending time out in nature every chance I get. Mindfulness practices are a big part of my self-care routine. My family (which extends beyond my biological family to my neighbors and close friends) mean the world to me and we all love spending time together.
