Working with Melissa tremendously changed my relationship with food and the way I perceive my body. Before Top Nutrition Coaching, I used numbers as the sole measure of my success�whether it was losing 5 more pounds, burning an extra 500 calories per day, or restricting daily consumption to under 1400 Kcal. I believed that by achieving these goals, I could attain my ideal body image and live happily ever after. I did reach these goals several times using various approaches (ex. Keto, intermittent fasting, huge calories deficit...etc.) in the past. However, there's no finish line in my diet journey, and since those approaches were not sustainable, the numbers rebounded. This led to increased anxiety around food and life in general.
During my collaboration with Melissa, I learned to slow down, gradually debunk and let go of the diet myths I had carried for so long. I started to cease weighing and calculating everything I ate, instead learning to tune into my body's cues. Melissa shared abundant information regarding recipes and tips, from ordering in restaurants to holiday gatherings. I learned to make better choices while dining out and felt more comfortable celebrating special occasions with friends. I discovered that life can be joyful when balanced. With all the improvements I've made in my diet, I am finally seeing muscle gain with my training, and I feel more confident in my own skin.
