What to expect in your first session with this dietitian?
Prior to our first session, I'll have you fill out an initial intake form so that we can hit the ground running and build out a roadmap for our time together. When we first meet, we'll establish what your "long term vision" is and detail out what smaller goals and steps we'll strive for in order to achieve it. Depending on your goals and current nutrition knowledge, there will likely be some relevant nutrition education to support your first steps in implementing habit changes. I will partner with you to chat through challenges and barriers, ultimately detailing out a realistic and sustainable approach for long term habit change. You will leave our first session confidently knowing what your next steps are to improving habits and achieving that long term vision.

Approach to care

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) with over 7 years of counseling experience. Personally, I grew up as an athlete with health-conscious family members I looked up to. My parents met in culinary school, so I often found myself in the kitchen learning from experts. It wasn't long before I made the connection that food is fuel and we can leverage it to promote life longevity and enhance mental and physical performance. I had an innate passion to connect with people and help them pursue their goals through proper nutrition. That's when I discovered dietetics and now I'm blessed to live out that passion through my career as a registered dietitian. My specialties include working with athletes, pregnant and postpartum moms, and those with various GI disorders and chronic diseases.

Hobbies

I enjoy spending time with my husband and pup and hosting friends and family. In the winter I snowboard and in the summer I hike and camp. I stay active through weight lifting, soccer, and racquetball and enjoy slowing things down with a good book, tending to my vegetable garden, or getting random house projects done.

More About This Dietitian

I believe in meeting my clients where they're at, focusing on the use of education and personalized nutrition to improve habits and overall health. I am an intentional, upbeat, and encouraging practitioner truly interested in the "person" you are while seeking to help you by using creative approaches to improve your health. My motto is "food is love" and thus food should be something you look forward to and enjoy! There is a time and place for all foods and finding the appropriate balance is key to overall health and food satisfaction. Depending on what type of goals you have, we can find sustainable ways to get you there through habit building. Even the smallest of changes can make a big impact and propel you forward.

Jordan helped me get my life back. She made it possible for me to figure out what foods were nourishing for my body being that I have numerous dietary restrictions. Along with that she helped me cope with a chronic gastro issue that not many people know about. I am now able to feel confident and healthy in the body that I have all thanks to Jordan.
