What to expect in your first session with this dietitian?
Our first session is all about you, including a thorough assessment of your lifestyle, nutritional habits, exercise, medical information, etc so I can truly understand where you are now and where you want to be. Together, we'll explore your goals in greater detail and develop practical, realistic strategies to start achieving them. I'll provide some initial nutrition education to empower you with first steps you can begin implementing right away. I take a more comprehensive approach, as I have a passion for functional medicine. I aim to educate you so you feel empowered to make the right choices. By the end of the session, you'll have a clear understanding of your goals, personalized strategies to achieve them, and motivation to embark on your health journey. Each time we meet, you will leave with clear goals and action items!

Approach to care

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Sports Dietitian with over 12 years of counseling experience. Personally, I turned to nutrition and was inspired to become a dietitian when running my first half marathon in high school. Since then, I have completed several half marathons and 1 sprint triathlon. I also earned a master's degree in Sports Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University and became a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). My experience spans working with all types of athletes, including military individuals, who want to improve their performance with optimal nutrition strategies.

Hobbies

I'm a fan of having time to myself--it's how I recharge. I enjoy listening to podcasts about history and science, watching 'old' movies (especially from the 90s), walking outside, doting on our pets, relaxing in my backyard hammock, and baking bread from scratch.
